Abstract

To evaluate the performance or productive per- formance of three ecotypes of native rice from traditional management practices around the Municipality of Atrato, Department of Chocó. Plant material was selected from: lucinda (L), blanquillo (B) and cuatro meses (C) which were planted and managed by producers from the corregimiento of Vuelta Mansa. During the development of the crop, plant variables such as the final height of the plant (AP), number of leaves (NH), number of grains (NG) and presence of grains (PGR) were evaluated, as well as crop variables such as the number and type of pests present and the productive yield per hectare t/ ha. The study used a completely randomized design with three treatments and the same number of replications, for which an area of 40 m x 40 m (1.600 m2) was delimited and adapted, inwhichnineplotsof10mx10m(100m2) were established. Data were analyzed using the statistical package InfoStat 2015, normal- ity assumptions were tested for all quantitative variables evaluated and then an ANOVA was applied, considering values of p<0.05 to deter- mine statistical significance between varieties. The average productive yield per hectare for all specimens evaluated was 2.5 ton/has. Lucinda was the most important ecotype of all in terms of production with a report of 3.1 ton/has, the second level of importance corresponds to blanquillo with 2.4 ton/has, while the lowest yield were four month variety with only 2.1 ton/has.
