Abstract

In continuity with our purpose of generating conditions for the social appropriation of knowledge, aimed at decision-making in environmental and biodiversity matters increasingly supported by quality information, the Instituto de Investigaciones Ambientales del Pacífico (IIAP), through The Bioetnia Journal offers its public important advances in research, within the territory known as Chocó Biogeográfico.

The foregoing is preceded by a process of continuous improvement within the entity, which has led us to the recognition of the entity as a research center, as well as a process of consolidation of the journal as a means of institutional dialogue with the community, in relation to the information and knowledge, both technical and community, that is produced in the region.
