Shared cultural matrix: a tribute to the knowledge of existing cultural correlation between settled black communities in the Chocó

Abstract

In order to characterize the customs and values that make up the cultural heritage shared by different ethnic groups settled in the Pacific Biogeográfico, a cultural test between black communities settled in the village of Santa Cecilia, Risaralda, and settled black communities was held in Bagadó municipality, Chocó, both geographically belonging to known or Pacific Biogeographic Chocó; in such an investigation of information it is implemented through the application of technical and methodological tools that allowed to collect, collate and analyze the information obtained. Herbal doctors, midwives, singing, prayer leader, hunters, sawyers, etc.); as well as making life stories of people who have contributed in building: structured interviews with people knowledgeable about traditional practices regions as performed culture, cultural talks and workshops were held. Added to this the history of the population was investigated in their settlement in this territory, which found that the inhabitants of the village of Santa Cecilia are descendants of the department collided specifically in the municipalities of Tadó and Bagadó, explaining that multiple existing cultural relationship among these communities.
