Abstract

We report the helminth fauna of Leporinus muyscorum in the middle basin of the Atrato river. A total of 13 dentones were collected from October 2012 and maech 2013. The helmintho- logical examination revealed the presence of 10 individual of Pseudolacotyla lutzi in one individual of L. muyscorum. This is the third work is addressed in Chocó, Colombia, on parasites in freshwater fish of commercial importance. For the first time you register to P. lutzi on a different host to Hoplias malabaricus.
