Abstract

Illicit crops in Colombia have invaded much of the soils of the Colombian Pacific, adding to this the use of pesticides such as glyphosate to eradicate these illegal crops, which also have adverse health effects, cause infertility in soils, making difficult to develop agriculture. In this study the results of physical and chemical analysis of soils in the municipality of Guapi, Cauca, before the establishment and after planting stevia are embodied. The results of physicochemical analysis showed a decrease in the content of pH, cation exchange capacity, reduced metals such as manganese and zinc, change is soil texture, from silty clay loam to loamy clay, reduced levels phosphorus and increased levels of organic matter percentage, aluminum, iron and copper. It can be said that the most significant data was the increase of iron in soil of 26.46 to 760.0 mg/kg and decreased heavy metals such as manganese and zinc values of 1.96 to 1.40 and 0.79 to 04.0 mg/kg,
